I bought the set of racks to hold my game tiles and my cards due to stiffness in my hands. My grandson likes them since he has trouble holding several cards at one time. These racks are well-made and priced well. This product says it is for domino’s and cards, but in reality it only works for dominos. When you put cards in the holder they just flip out with the slightest jostling of the table.Overall it's worth the money spent. Will be using it for a long time because of quality materials used. Good for games with the family and friends.Constructed completely of wood (appears to be pine), these are sanded smooth as glass save a few spots here and there. I do wish they had some sort of finish applied for better appearance and durability, and I just might do that myself. Still, the craftsmanship is excellent with all cuts perfectly done.I’ve own several Dominoes sets:- Plastic tiles- Stone tiles- Oddly shaped tiles (for example, Tri-ominos)- Hand-made wood, significantly thicker than usual. While the latter are quite attractive, they’re a bit rough on their ends and some aren’t cut exactly straight. That makes standing them upright nearly impossible. No matter, this tray’s slots fit them all, with wiggle room to spare. The addition of a card holder is a wonderful idea, particularly when playing games that require holding on to a lot of them such as Rummy 500, Spades, and even the non-standard deck variety like Mille Bornes and Cards Against Humanity. Also, I’m sure they’ll be especially helpful for gamers who suffer from arthritis.I now view these as a must-have for playing Dominoes. Regardless of what type you’re using, it completely eliminates them from falling over and tipping your hand as a result. Not to mention, at just a few bucks bucks each they’re a super bargain. Our 12-year-old loves dominoes, but he sometimes struggles to keep them sitting upright on tables. I liked that this stand could also hold cards in the super thin slot. This holder is definitely helpful when playing with thin, less expensive dominoes. However, with the thicker, older dominoes, there is not as much room for them to lean back and rest, so the bottom part of the dominoes (actually the side) is covered up. Not a deal breaker, but it could be a concern if someone only has thicker dominoes. These are great to keep dominoes organized and save table space. We play Mexican Dominoes a lot especially when camping and these trays are perfect sized except when I have to draw over and again the solution is to put two trays together. They are well made, no rough spots or edges. If you want to give them a finished look brush them with stain, oil them the same way you would season a wooden spoon set, or use a wax designed for wood... I .am going to season them like I do wooden spoons, brush with olive oil, put in a warm oven until the oil has soaked in and repeat as necessary until the oil no longer absorbs into the wood, wipe excess off then leave them sit for several days to allow the oil to soak all the way in. Doing this will moisturize the wood, prevent drying and cracking from moisture when camping riverside, and make them last for years.Sealing them is not necessary... I am graceful and tend to drop things lol (true story) I can see the ceramic tile cracking and/or breaking one after several drops.Excellent price, would make an excellent gift for someone who plays dominoes.Definitely recommend these. This set of four domino / cards holder is a bit on the rough side but does work well. There is no finish on them, they are bare. Holds dominoes easily and there is just enough gap for that perfect viewing angle. The back row can easily hold regular sized playing cards, and if your crafty, you can use a pencil or a wooden dowel and place 4 more cards in the front row, giving you the ability to hold 10 whopping cards total. My only caveat is that I wish it was smoother, especially for holding the cards, but I guess at the this low price point I can sand it down a little and the finish myself, and while I am at it, add some felt to the bottom as well. You know sometimes the simplest of ideas is a great big winner and this is one of those winners.Small hands, arthritic hands, unstable hands, these holders will hold the cards safe and easily. Also with the dominoes it will keep them from falling over like they always do in the wind and when you bump the table. This is simple plain pine wood cut with 4 wide slots and 1 thin slot. I am very happy with these racks.
