These are very durable and very versatile. Four might sound like overkill for home use (not bussing in a restaurant), but you will find many uses for them. I bought them, because I needed something to carry my prep from the kitchen out to the griddle, and one of these fit the bill perfectly. Even though I only needed one (or so I thought), a second one immediately came in handy to put dirty used items in for return to the kitchen. Then, I had to do some work on my tractor and ended up using the other two to hold parts, nuts, bolts, washers, screws, brackets, etc., and the tools needed at the moment – ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. If you add a small parts tray inside the larger tray, like the kind you use in the drawer of a tool chest, then they are just about perfect for that job. They are deep enough that items don't spill out, if a tray gets accidentally kicked or tipped (speaking from experience), and they really help keep me organized. My wife has found them useful in the kitchen, when she is doing things, like canning. They are very smooth, which makes clean up a breeze. But, if you don’t want things to slide around, just add a silicone mat or a piece of drawer/shelf liner to the bottom. I am really glad I bought this set of four, because we use all of them. Two are in my shop and two are used in the kitchen or in my outdoor cooking man cave. And, they were priced lower (at the time of purchase) than the other options on Amazon.
